News from the Principal

Dear Parents, Guardians, Community Members, and Stakeholders:

Welcome to Pine Grove School's website. Pine Grove School is truly an outstanding Title I school in the North Baldwin area. We are a Pre K -through 6th grade elementary school that has an enrollment that varies from 550 to 600 students yearly.

It is our goal and vision at Pine Grove School that all of our students be successful at school and become life long learners as well as productive members of society. Visitors to Pine Grove School can't help leaving with a smile on their face. The energy and love at our school is infectious.

Some of the benefits that we now offer because of No child Left Behind and Title I is an SAT-10\ARMT after-school tutoring program, two full-time Title I teachers, a Title I instructional aide, and a Pre K-4 year old readiness program. Our school also offers Project Tree-Time for Reading and Educational Enrichment- which is an after-school child care program that helps students with their homework, provides a healthy snack, and other educational activities. It is a wonderful program and opportunity for working parents.

Our students are diverse buy that is what makes our school great. We serve several different communities, which range from poverty level to middle class, and a low percentage of upper-class families. This socio-economic makeup is what gives Pine Grove School its personality.

The school was built in 1986, and doubled in building size in 2001. The school is situated on 13 acres and has beautiful pecan trees surrounding the facility.

All of our faculty and staff actively engage the school and community by creating a shared responsibility for student performance and development of each child at PGS.

Pine Grove School is a learning community that is committed to student learning as well as providing a quality education that will create a world class learning environment.

We encourage parents, community members, and stakeholders to become a part of our "school family" and focus on a team approach. We strongly believe and share our motto "Working Together Works at Pine Grove School!" At PGS we are building the future one student at a time.

We are making student learning the priority at our school and we value and believe in our school.

Come and visit Pine Grove School and you will see why we are excited about improving the teaching and learning experience.

We believe in PGS,

Martha Ann Sealey Rabon
